Private beta test ATG v2.21d : TOEs and auto-reinforcements

Its been some time!

But inspired by the feedback of the community pool here is the first new patch in private beta form since a long time.

It adds TOE functionality and auto-reinforcements to the New Dawn v3 random games and allows any scenario to be configured to use this TOE and auto-reinforce functionality.

Private Beta install instruction:
1. Make sure you have the latest official patch. v220 or higher.
2. Make a backup of your Matrix / Advanced Tactics Gold / directory in case there is an issue with the private beta.
3. Manually copy the contents of the zip into your Matrix / Advanced Tactics Gold directory overwriting any files with the same names.
4. Do NOT use this private beta on your STEAM install. This is a private beta for the Matrix install only.

Last but not least: A big thanks to Webizen for allowing me to use his existing NATO counters a base set to use for your TOE models.

Let me know if this allows you to continue existing games without any issues.

Once we get any bugs and issues out i'll ask Matrix to post this a public beta. Hence the low-key posting over here in a subforum :)

Quick post: Did you incorperate the changes made in 2.20h into this 2.20g? Or am i missing something since you are calling it g, and h seems to me to be later in the alphabet?

Eh no... it is to late for me.. it should indeed be named version 2.20i.

I'm not finding any RULVAR 344. IT shows 340, 343 & 345 no 344. Also when I click on the TOE box, all it shows is " remove all" nothing else

just looked at the newdawn 3 scenario and the button which says " show different markers" doesn't work either. Instead of showing Nato symbols it still shows the icons. There are no set TO&E's either

Rulevar 344 is under Enable/Disable features.

sweet thanks....as for the rest of my comments, disregard them as I'm slowly figuring this out. Question though, can't you set these TO&E up before you begin play or just when your playing

ok, so how does one get this to work in a non-newdawn scenario? When you click on the TO&E button in the editor the only option is remove all. Also how do you create a TO&E in editor for units.....this is very frustrating

Note to self: Make sure that the game when auto-reinf is ON automaticly starts with Unit Counter Mode to NATO. (you can switch between siluet, hide and NATO using the unit counter mode button in the middle order buttons)

in the meantime the workaround is to also enable rulevar 343 (officers)

Thanks Vic for the continued support of ATG! This new TO&E feature is pretty cool. Note to players: if you are trying out this private beta and have my NATO mod already installed, you may want to use the mod that puts the regular counters back.

Update: If you want to see the AI units with NATO counters then you should continue to use my NATO mod with this private beta patch. I'd recommend the one without unit size designations on them as the patch provides that info in a more elegant way.

Hey Vic, the TOE feature makes the game better and faster. Furthermore, players spend more time using tactics than before. I like it! [&o]

Is possible to save formations for different random games? I mean you load your favourite formation (ie 20 rifle+2 machine gun+1 mortar) in any game. So, you don“t need to create it every time you play a different game.

I didn't mean to sound ungrateful for all you are doing to make this game even better, because you are one of the very few who continue supporting their games and I thank you. I must say this, by you adding this new feature, ATG has become even more of a favorite for me....

I must say that I LOVE being able to actually add unit markings now (Brigade, Divisions ect.....) just love it. Makes the game feel more like a boardgame, thanks

I enabled the officer string as you suggested, but I'm still not getting the button to change the model of a unit for a non-newdawn scenario. I double checked and everything for the auto reinforcement is correct. On a brighter note though, I have figured out though how to add TO&E in a newdawn scenario so at least that is something..... :)
