Fun with New Dawn and TO&E

Having a blast with the new TO&E feature. I took a randomly generated scenario, saved it as a new scenario and added a couple tweaks to it. Anyway, I'm playing as Germans and in a precarious position right now.

I captured an enemy city only to suddenly realize my panzers have almost run me bone dry out of oil. The enemy army should run out of supply before too long unless they can capture their city back on the next couple turns. Pretty sticky situation right now as you can see. My other hope is that the regimes to the north and east of me stay peaceful and don't decide to declare war on me. If they do, I'm toast.

So the question for the day is whether I Army can hold or not. [X(]

Here's a pic of some of the TO&E formations I've created for my game.

So far so good. The "liberated" city of Osju continues to hold in the north along with a tenuous supply line to it. In the south my 4th and 2nd Panzer divisions managed to capture the enemy tank factory and are threatening to capture the Ore mines just southwest of it.

Oil shortages still limit my offensives, though. So the going is slow. If the Anglos and/or French to the east and northeast decide to declare war on me I will be toast. I'd like to finish up operations against the Japanese before that happens. There's also the Russians to the north to potentially worry about if they decide to declare war.

If you want the AI to also use NATO counters, see this post:

Many thanks Webizen! Although, I actually like having the AI and my non-TOE units having "regular" counters. It helps me differentiate which units I've assigned TO&Es to and which I haven't and in the case of the AI, the graphic makes it a little easier to distinguish unit types. My eyes aren't quite as good as they used to be. But I do like the chrome of the NATO counters for my TOE enabled units. [8D]

EDIT: Plus, it's easy to spot my engineer units with the hockey player icon. lol
