Where are the officer portraits?

In Scourge of War: Gettysburg and the successors you could see a portrait of active officer in the UI.

No portraits in Waterloo.
I miss these portraits.

In the Status popup screen or directly on the Grog Toolbar, available as a Mod...go to modifications and select.

Yes, I've seen now images with the grog toolbar.
So a mod is needed to show the portraits.

1. However, if I want to see the portraits in the new designed toolbar?
2. In addition, I read somewhere, that more options would be offered it you use the of grog toolbar?

These are strange design decisions!
And I don’t like them!

You do not need a mod to see the officer portraits, they are in the status window for the officer in vanilla.

Yes and you can even keep the status window open all the time when you play the game, so it more/less becomes part of the toolbar.

Yes, that works.

However, it works quite well - but only if you own a widescreen Monitor!
In the old formats of monitors this side window would cover too much space from the battlefield.

Portraits are generally an important part of historical simulations, or even of history in general.

I still think the proven SOW:G solution is more advantageous.

We have all of the new OOB,status, weapon, etc tabs in the corner of the toolbar - unfortunately something had to make room for those.
