EiA is now interupting my sleep patterns and it is still months away. I currently have Shogun and Medieval TW along with EUII on my computer but last night I found myself compelled to stare at the screenshot of the entire EiA map and plot some early strategy for each country. After a couple of hours of this, I pulled out a friends copy of the EiA boardgame and spread the map out on my bed so I could scan the provinces. Then I looked at all the countries leader counters and later perused the manual. Finally I reread the General issue with the gameplay hints. I then went to bed and layed there in the dark for about two hours thinking about what my initial drop-dead demands would be for each country as an initial starting point. I finally fell asleep with the hazy memory of a hypothetical arguement with the English ruler as to why I, the Spanish ruler, would consider it an intolerable act of provication for England to even think of occupying Portugal. This rash act was pushing me into the lap of the French damnit. The first thought I had upon waking this morning was why I, as the Czar of All the Russias, had an obvious and self-evident claim to the land of the Swedes. I fear I will be a mere shell of a man by mid summer and the many grasping, petty monarchs that surround me will take advantage of my weakened state. If the game is delayed past July, I will be forced to fall on my sword!

I share your pain. Just look at what the anticipation has turned me into (at least, I don't think I used to look like this)...

I kept waking up thinking about Japanese strategies for WitP last night. But hey, to each his own.

One of most unforgetable wargamer nights was a campaign I played in my local wargaming club many years ago. 7 players, EiA, and I playing Austria:( We began at 7pm and finished around 3 or 4 am every friday night every week. Still I remember the coalition battle I managed against the french around 4am one night. At 10 am only 3 players were on board.Finnaly I lost the main battle (after 3 hours!!!!!) but still happy to remember it. Really I hope EiA from Matrix can bring me again this sensations:) I got new friends from there:) (Sorry I dont know how show feel now(exactly english counterpart) in english).

I really hope that I can get in my first EiA game with a great group of fellows, or gals. With a game like this I feel it will be a great or not so great experience based on the personality of your foes. Can't wait to give it a shot.

Yes, but still I hope make new friends with this game even they trick me in the diplomat phase;)
The interaction with the other 6 players give you the chance.
