[RELEASED] Comte de Grasse's Squadron, 1988 -- new beta for testing

My newest beta...
It's 1988 and World War III is underway. While the Azores has not been a major battlefield yet, NATO recognizes its importance to the war effort and sends a small task force to secure the nearby waters. NATO seapower and airpower should be enough to handle anything the Soviets have in this part of the Atlantic...unless they use nukes...
As always, I am interested in any feedback, suggestions, comments, observations, etc. anyone wants to offer. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.
(Be sure to read the briefing.)
Enjoy!

Played it last night, nice scenario! Sandbox's got a FFL and one of the Merchies but I ended up with a major victory having sunk the surface fleet and the subs.
Having the nukes enabled makes it a lot more fun to play as well!

Also making it playable from the Soviet side would be a good challenge.

Got a minor Vic because I lost two of the Merchies, one to a torpedo and another to a cruse missile - and a Portuguese FF got vaporized into radioactive sea salt[:(]
Took out the SAG and one sub. Did not use Nucs, managed to take out the DDG with TSAMs, P-3's took out the Sovremmeny and the Kashin. Harpoons got the Grisha and the AO, A-6 go the AS.
Recommend that the AC coming from stateside be put in a Ferry mission and the tankers into another side. I realized that the reinforcements weren't in a ferry mission when they were burning holes in the sky mid Atlantic. I then followed them in with the tankers as I wasn't sure if they could make it, so I rebased them to Leja and then used them later to give added legs for the Tomcats hunting Bears - probably not as intended. Other than that it was a good scenario - although the brief caused me to be a tad trigger happy early on and there is one less trawler and Cessna in the civilian ORBAT - should have been a bit more circumspect on those ones though. Also there is lots of floating tuna and whale meat around the Azores at the moment [:D]

I'll upload a new version with Gunner's suggestions implemented very soon.
Based on his AAR, I am also adding the following remarks to the scenario introduction:
Please note that while your WRA is "weapons free," which means you will not automatically be hauled in front of a Board of Inquiry if you accidentally sink a fishing boat, this does not mean you should try to sink them, or shoot airliners out of the sky, or kill harmless sea creatures with depth charges, etc. Quite apart from it being morally reprehensible behavior--we are supposed to be the good guys, you know--it means you are wasting ammunition. So knock it off.

Any more suggestions for this one? Or is it ready for the Community Scenario Pack? Thanks.

Nice looking scenario, as always. Thanks Mark. Only one small note, as playable side is also USAF with two Stratotankers.

I've just started this and I miss HARMs for Intruders, just a little bit.
Well, it ended in a disaster anyway; effectively I lost all combat-capable ships. Score 330 minor victory; you may want to look at scoring - I don't feel like that was a victory, not even a minor one.

I will look at the scoring but it may just be a quirk of how the scenario turned out...although you did lose two major warships, a Portuguese corvette, and one of the merchants, you sank
six Soviet ships, including a cruiser,
and three submarines. I suppose I could make it more costly to lose the
de Grasse, though.
Later edit: I increased the point loss for losing the de Grasse from 200 to 300 points (or triple the normal point loss for losing a ship instead of just double). That should fix the problem.

Just played it once again, and looks like a good small riddle. I think it's fine for Community pack.
