Got this message with the crash when I try and load the game.

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error !
Program C:\Matrix Games\Scourge of War Waterloo\SOWWL,EXE
This program has requested the runtime to terminate in a unusual way
please contact the application support team for information

I deleted the game and reloaded from the disc I received same message on attempting to load the game.

This problem occurred after a failed effort to host a multiplayer game.

Go here: SOW Waterloo Beta Patch. Download and install the patch and see if that fixes your problems.
