Anyway to know what speed the game is running at.. ?

Hi,
Is there anywhere you can check the speed..
In fact in order to speed the game up a little I use the Equals key say twice, then easily remember I have hit it twice so can slow down to normal with two Minus key strikes..
But would be useful to be able to check.
