Panzer Corps - Main Campaign - D-Day

After battle on the Gustav Line - i ended up in Normandy - and have 6-7 fighter units - among them all FW - D - and 4-5 with 2 or 3 experience stars - and 3 flak 8.8 units with tracked vehicles - i tried to go fast northwards and engage with their fighters to weaken them but my fighters got wiped out from the skies - as it was in reality. I gues i should try slower approach - but what about flaks - should i exchange my 8.8's to some other type - should i keep my fighters en groupe over my units? What are your suggestions and experiences....?
