Airborne And Naval

After doing the WGSF FM100 OOB, I figured I'd finish it off by covering the airborne and naval forces

Airborne Regiment - very similar to a BMP regiment (less tanks) mounted in BMD
Arty Regiment - 1 D30 how Bn & 1 composite arty Bn (D30 & BM21)
Assault gun Bn - ASU85 battalion
Anitaircraft Bn - ZSU-23-2 heavy battalion

Air Assault Bde - 2bn of BMD & 2 Bn of paratroops
Airmobile Bde - 4 battalion of paratroops
Naval Infantry Bde - BTR60 battalions supported by T55 tanks(with Drozd active protection system!!)

Early sneak peak at the various company units (and what formation they belong too)

I've copied a number of units to class them as airborne (and naval) allowing me to restrict choices to those weapon platforms used by Airborne and Naval forces, I've created these under SUTag RU400+ as I figure its a easy way for people to add these formations into an existing User data sheet

Tazak, where did you find the wrong data?)

Assault Coy have 2 MG squads plus mortar platoon and minus AGS;
Para Coy: plus ATGM squad and mortar platoon;
Airborne Coy: minus AGS;

Most soldiers have AKS-74, not AKS-74U

Alex, there is data to cover everything and very little of it is 100% correct. As I'm sure you already know, being a researcher yourself.

How about instead, you give us your data source? [X(]

Good Hunting.

Alex, I'm using FM100-2-3 as source document, not because of "accuracy or completeness", many of us trained using this TOE/OOB as OPFOR.

I'll more than happily look at other sources that are more accurate

I have looked at FM100-2-3 and found that the information looks right in general, but it very simplified

Airborne Coy
HQ + HQ Squad + 9 Para Squads (5 men, AKS-74, RPK-74, RPG-16/7D, RPG-18/22, Night Sight) + 1 BMD-1PK, 9 BMD-1P/BMD-2, 1 BTR-D

Para Coy
HQ + 9 Para Squads (7 men, AKS-74, RPK-74, RPG-16/7D, RPG-18/22, Night Sight) + Mortar Platoon (4 82mm Mortar) + AT Squad (4 AT-7) + Grenade Launcher Squad (2 AGS-17) + LMG Squad (only before 1983, PKMS, AKS-74)

Assault Coy
HQ + 9 Assault Squads (5 men, AKS-74, RPK-74, SVD, RPG-16/7D, RPG-18/22, Night Sight) + Mortar Platoon (4 82mm Mortar) + 2 LMG Squads (PKMS, AKS-74) + BMD-1PK, 9 BMD-1P + 4 BTR-D
