Pre-purchase question?

I've been thinking about buying this game for over a month now and couldn't find it in my local EB. Unfortunately I found something else but have since returned it for a refund. So now I have some bucks in my pocket and a new-game impulse buy still to satisfy.

I tried the old Star Trek Birth of the Federation game again this weekend but it is so passe now. I tried the SUDG demo and liked the graphics of flying through space a lot better, but wasn't able to get much into the research or other stuff that really make the game interesting.

My question is "do the star systems randomly change for each game"? Or do the systems always stay the same for each game? I'm hoping that we can't memorize systems and when we see a certain system name we always know in each game that that system holds something specific every game. I know that 2.0 introduced random events, I'm just hoping the game has random systems so each game is truly different and we can't memorize things through playing many games.

Eric,

Each game can be completely different, including the star systems and what they contain. I've never had two games of SUDG play the same way. :)

If you can't find it at your local EB, check our Store Locator page using the link from the main page.

Erik,
What's a nice WW2 guy like you doing in outer space? I found the game and installed it. I thought that the star systems would be random but just wanted to make sure. Thanks for the quick reply. Hope Battlefields is coming along nicely.
Thanks,

Eric,

What, you mean World War II didn't have spaceships? ;)

Glad you found it and are enjoying it.
