Any advantages to having Mosquito Bombers in Bomber Command?

So historically, Mosquito's played a big role in the RAF night offensive as pathfinders, harassers (dropping the odd bomb on Berlin), or diversionary tactics (spreading Window to simulate bomber swarms). Do they do anything beyond adding some minor tonnage to Bomber Command, or is it worth while sticking them in an air force doing tactical bombing?

Great question. I've wondered myself. I know you can't afford to lose very many as the manufacture replacement rate is low.
