The cradle of civilization is on fire!

For decades the Middle East countries suffered from the direct or indirect interference of major powers. The end of the Second World War was seen as the chance to shape their own destiny. But peace is still hard to achieve.

The Campaign Series: Middle East 1948-1985 is a new turn-based, tactical wargame that focuses on conflicts in the Middle East.

There are over 65 scenarios covering several conflicts, from the most famous such as the Israeli War of Independence (1948) to the less well known like the Libyan - Egyptian Border War (1977).

A wide variety of battle situations are represented in the game, from meeting engagements to trench defences, armoured breakthroughs, battles of attrition, mobile defences, and more!

Great news. Especially after the original disappointment of the original Talonsoft attempt. You'all have worked long and hard. May I ask what the three linked Campaigns are?
Will this be release on Steam?

I notice requires 1900x1080 resolution. Really? Typo? Surely we can use lower resolutions?

Really is great to see this series back. I was a play tester for Rising Sun.

Hi Jason
I have edited the text. There are 65 scenarios not 10. Sorry for that.

Please, please update the graphics. Instead of using 10 year old assets, just take some extra time and add sharp and clear looking unit graphics. That would go a long way to make this game really stand out!

Making use of the limited time and resources we have, in Middle East we have substantially revamped the 2D map modes, adding two new larger, zoomed-in 2D modes (50% and 100% larger than the earlier largest zoom), along with a host of other 2D improvements. To some of us (old board war game grognards), the game has shifted focus, with 2D the new primary playing modes, and 3D in secondary status. (Much like, say, TOAW, where 2D is the primary interface, and 3D is an afterthought.)

That said, we do have longer-range plans to buff the Campaign Series' 3D. Rome Wasn't Built in a Day.

+1

The map and units are terrible. I don't care about 3d art, but 2d counters and map are bad too. Look at the latest Tiller titles (France'14 or Prussia). I think this is a minimum for 2015 release. Graphics aren't the most important thing but for me this is too much. I can't imagine myself buying this game. It feels wrong.

The graphics are much improved, especially 2D, I'd recommend taking a look in the forum: Middle East Forum

For instance, 2D Zoom-In view, Alt Counters, NATO symbols, thermometers OFF:
