Two crashes with 1.00.48 today

Unfortunately, I had two crashes today without a save immediately prior to the events. Both occurred vs. the AI with 1.00.48.

The first occurred in middle of my turn when I was using naval movement to move a division and HQ to the west map edge from the Liverpool area.

The second occurred during the turn execution at the end of the Allied land move phase. An error message came up with the German scroll frozen at the "air unit swap" phase.

Just FYI.

i also had a couple of crashes as well, but removing VLC media player and fixing the broken codex it left with the codex tweak tool so far has fixed it, and have tried to make it crash again with no luck, good luck and hope it helps you some, same trouble with WITE tbh but that's now working 10 turns in as well were as before i was lucky for 2 turns or less before a crash, with sound on or off, disabled and renamed etc

Is this repeatable? Can you try to run it with disabled sounds? Thanks.

i just uninstalled VLC media player and repaired the broken codec and not had a issue since, so for me no need to rename sounds folder any more, win 8.1 and win 10 beta btw...

with vlc installed it is repeatable, as you don't get more than a turn or 2, some times not one as soon as you press end turn and the AI moves or finishes most or all it's moves and does it's stuff game crashes, so you never had to wait long for it, unistalling VLC and any other codec packs fixed it for me on my 4 pc's anyway, not installed on laptops as yet so will try and see if they are the same, but would guess it would be tbh...

sorry tweak tool doesn't auto save the log, just looked and retried to see and once fixed message is gone :(

only said one as well, but that seemed to be enough to make sound not work in the game, only way is to load maybe VLC media player back up then uninstall it again maybe?

Codec tool should leave a text file on your desktop.
VLC is safe to use - it only uses the separate codec files it's shipped with, those are not available/registered in Windows.
