Circle of Stars

I am currently in the process of recovering from a botched attempt to upgrade to Widows 10. I ended up having Windows 7 reinstalled. The Windows 10 upgrade went so bad my computer would not boot. I decided since the techs were going to be poking around, I would upgrade my SSD drive. Any way, when I tried to run TOAW after the repair it said that the serial number was bad. I am still not sure why this happened since TOAW was on a separate drive, not the SSD. Anyway, I reinstalled and now the Circle of Stars is gone. I have tried to adjust the resolution, but that has not worked. I am looking for any suggestions on what else to try. Thanks.

Tom,
1st, nice seeing you're still around and about. Now, just start the game in Admin Mode, then there won't be any error msg about the serial not being correct.

Thanks for the response. Got the serial number squared away. Now just have to figure out the circle of stars issue.

Other than the things we discovered in this thread tm.asp?m=3792730
I don't know what else it could be. Maybe some fun screen shots will help us pass the time while we wait for the drop ship to pick us up and return us to the Sulaco.

Will Corporal Ferro pick us up, Spunkmeyer?

I fear Ferro will not make it.

I thought it might be a resolution issue, but changing it has not helped. Tried moving the task bar around, nothing there too. Anyway, here is what I am seeing. Thanks

Hmm ... thanks for the fun screen shot ! Try turning off the PO Assist Buttons [in the Player Options].

Here is (1) A full window, (2) A windowed reduced to 75% of full screen, (3) A windowed reduced to 25% of full screen. You can see that the smaller the window size the fewer stars you get until the circle is totally gone. Perhaps this will help you determine what needs to be done.

Bingo! Thank you so much. I don't remember turning that option on or off, but clearly I did.

Again, a big Thanks
