I've looked in the scripture and could not find the answers....

Are RR flak units considered armored trains with added protection from enemy fire. Or are they just normal flak guns defense wise? I've started bring them up to the depots near the front lines instead of Homeland Defense.


And ... Would the HS 293 antiship missile be any good in port bombings or is it just best used in naval interdiction?

The way the game engine works more bombs is better. Putting free fall bombs in your planes produces better naval interdiction values than the guided bomb.

More bombs or is it more poundage...

I use the compare Weapons screen, effect number, and the 2 Hs293 has more effect than 6 - 500kg bombs but the biggest effect is the 1 or 2 - over a 1000kg bombs.

Effect wise 2- 500kg SC bombs have the same effect as 6- 500kg SC bombs. So effect is just based on bomb type then probably magnified by number of the bomb.


Short of my own trial and error and being able to notice it...

They're basically just mobile city flak units. They have value in that they are the only city flak units you can move around for free. You can put them at a depot, just don't forget to move them before the Allies take the depot, or you'll lose the unit.

Have started using them in precarious areas because you can move them free of admin points. Even though they cost no admin points to move, one has to remember to always have at least one admin point so that the assign screen option will appear.
