Well, what can I say? I followed the instructions until turn 6 of 10. But I just got a major defeat - am I really that bad? :)

Had the same experience. Other than the air strike being very late and only scoring a BTR I thought it went pretty well.

My guess is I shouldn't have tied up the enemy so well with the SAS troops but rather let them advance more easily into ATGM fire (or possibly moved an ATGM troop).

Bootcamp 2 is challenging... you could try again and try altering the placement of the ATGM's.

It's practice and practice is good!

If that is true, I'm afraid for the next boot camps.

Each one is trying to teach you, the player, something valuable.

That's why I play through the first 5 or so turns and let you figure out the rest.

Teaching you different ways of completing the mission.

I appreciate that - was just kidding. But a major defeat took me by suprise, I must admit. So I'll try again, my way :)

Once I have some free time, shortly - I hope, I will create video tutorials that show they are winnable and how to do it.

Keep in mind, I did lose sometimes as well during my many playtests, with some rolls on bad dice!

I'd like you to show me "first attack on the bloc" is winnable, best i could get was a draw. Tried 3 times, getting them out of those fixed positions is tough. Does assaulting from multiple sides at once give you an advantage or is it the same as massing your troops and assaulting from one hex?

The key to First attack on the Bloc is to avoid the big positions and look around for easier targets.

The northern portion is pretty well "undefended" and could provide some easy points.

Be like water.... attacking fortified positions with militia will result in a draw or defeat, best to avoid it, for the most part.

touche...didn't think their was enough point value in those back VP's to pull a major victory. what about the assaulting question, any benefit to assaulting from multiple sides at once or the same as massing an assaulting from one hex?

Yes, because it reduces the area of retreat, causing morale losses, which is what you want. The lower the morale, the easier the position will be to capture.

The same has happened to me...[:(] The best I could do was a minor defeat. Mind you on bootcamp 3 I managed a draw.......I was quite thrilled not to lose....
