Jump Map.

I think it would be useful to have an option so the Jump Map remains in persistent view.Perhaps the choice of a larger size as well.

Generally I would not be surprised to find the majority of the games supporters are older, and if not already there,
then probably rapidly approaching old Goatdom with attendant vision reduction.

The jump map is great way to jump around without scrolling and scrolling. I know there are the 2D views but that is not as convenient as a persistent jump map in the corner of your full 3d view.

Being able to see things easily is a selling point. A larger menu bar perhaps and a choice of size and colour for the mouse pointer would be very good.

You are using the J hot key to summon the Jump Map, yes? The hot keys are your friends.

The Jump Map was enlarged over previous ones in the Campaign Series.
A larger menu bar perhaps...
Check out Options > Toolbar. Have you selected Large?

Hi Berto,

When you use the U key to initiate the unit list, the list remains displayed until you press u again.

This is what I would like for the jump map. That it stays displayed when you press j and remains so until you press j once more.

The jump map is larger but another half inch all around would make it more accessible.

Yes I have the large size menu chosen. For people with vision problems an option for it to be the same size as the standard traditional JTCS option would be useful.

+1 on this i'd like the option to keep the jump map open, instead of it closing when you click on anything else.

Yes, good idea. I suspect it goes back to the rather ancient origins (the Pleistocene, I think) of the codebase. There are numerous issues where windows don't act like modern windows should.
