Event Editing

I am designing a scenario and have a few questions for anyone that can help.
(1) In one of the Market-Garden scenarios, the designer was able to have bridges blow up as the enemy entered
the hex. Can someone explain how this is done?
(2) I want to have guerillas appear after the enemy takes a location. I think that I have the event editor figured
out to do this, but I am unsure of how to determine where or how to place the guerilla for the event.
(3) If there is a road running parallel as a major river in the same hexes, does the road in effect bridge the
river even though it doesn't cross it?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Have you literally seen the bridge destroy itself or are you just quoting the scenario's briefing? I'm pretty sure the former is impossible. Which scenario, exactly?

Reinforcement arrivals are specified in the Formation Report. They can arrive by turn or by event. The location hex can be typed in on that report or the unit can just be placed on the map on the desired arrival location and then removed (and that's usually a safer way to do it).
(3) If there is a road running parallel as a major river in the same hexes, does the road in effect bridge the

If you can get onto the road you can cross the river at no cost. But you may have to pay the river cost to get to the road (or have the major ferry if it's a Super River). It is considered a bridge for bridge destruction purposes.

Thank you for the response. It is very helpful.
Regarding (1), the scenario is Erik Nygaard's Holland - A Bridge Too Far 1944. I must have been wrong, but I thought that bridges were blowing up when my allied units entered the hex. Maybe it was the German player doing it.

I now understand by what you meant by "The location hex can be typed in on that report or the unit can just be placed on the map on the desired arrival location and then removed (and that's usually a safer way to do it)." My computer kept crashing to desktop whenever I tried to place typing the hex entry.
Thank you.

That's not what I meant, of course. I meant that that way the unit was more likely to arrive in the hex you wanted it to than by entering a couple of numbers. If your game is crashing then you have some other sort of problem.
