uh, does *anyone* know what pop growth formula is?

it seems so.. random... I'm not even sure if it's an actual formula ;p
In my case, formula for population growth is conquer = growth.
I see a 1B+ independent or empire world, and all I see is dollar signs to get more tax money.
Genghis Khan had it right. Grow your tax base the old fashioned way.
