CNI sound/music?

Hi,
I saw the game has an option for music and sound but I don't hear any, I mean the introductory video has sound but in game there is nothing, is it 'normal'? I can see a folder with sound effects but are they triggered in the campaign?

When something gets hit or an enemy is detected you should here something.
The game also has background music.

Thanks, so that's weird, I finished the 1st scenario without hearing any sound. Same for the tutorials

Can you check on the "Game Options" window, on the "Sounds and Music" tab, if the checkboxes for sounds and music are marked checked?

Uncheck and recheck them. I had a similar problem with the city names.

Excellent! You can download a mp3 file and put it into your sound/music-folder. What you getr: immersion!

it contains US radio communication, fighters and bombers loop background fx, some intercept Russian radio communications, naval sound fx, and some air fight sound fx

The original soundtrack is not working on my side but I installed Sluggy's Speech and Ambient sounds that I found on the main page and it's excellent, really add a new immersive layer to the game.

make a backup from the original file, and replace the original file.
If it doesn't in accord with the rules of the game, i'd delete it.
It was recorded with US and some Russians radio chatter, ambient sound fx
