Extract to your Command folder, answering "yes" to any overwrite questions.

This will also soon become available through Steam as a beta patch, but if you are in a real hurry you can just extract this to the installation folder of the Steam version.

Changes:

* The map-rendering code is more robust against out-of-memory issues when using very large displays (4K etc.).

* Fixed: UI Crash if player tries to load a scenario whose DB has not yet been registered (slow/thrashed HDD).
* Steam checks provide better feedback if they fail, and attempt to auto-restart the Steam client if necesssary.

Downloading it from chrome I'm getting a'could be dangerous message'. Not had that before.

Yes, new "unknown" files always get this problem with reputation-based security filters.

MMM was i just to export it into command or drop the files in as its just created a folder in command called updatepack_B757.5

And not changed the version number

You need to extract the file to "C:\Matrix Games\Command Wargame of the Year Edition" for a matrix install or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\[Command Folder] for a steam install.

If you went with a custom install location your path may be a bit different, but the destination folders are the same.

I did direct it to my 'Command Modern Naval Operations' folder and all it did was create the folder I mentioned in my above post. Mine is not the 'war game of the year edition' even if that make a difference i don't know.


I've actually unpacked it to see what it contains. It has the folder called - updatepack_B757.5. So all it will do is place a folder in command called updatepack_B757.5. Which is what it has done for me.

You need to copy the files in that folder into your Command directory. Normally the folder in the zip is not present, but is this time.
