Newbie Questions

1) When a unit entrenches it uses its entire movement points. Does the expenditure of these points cause supply/equipment attrition as in normal movement?
2) Is there a supply advantage to entrenching v mobile deployment?
3)What are the specific penalties for attacking/defending with non-cooperating units?
I have recently retired and finally have the time to indulge in wargames. I find TOAW III absolutely fascinating and am addicted to it. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks

1) Never paid attention myself simply because you gotta do what you gotta do. But according to the manual any time you use movement points you use supply.
2) I can answer this without even looking at the manual. You're not moving so yeah, there is an advantage. You don't lose readiness and use up supplies because you are not moving. You can stockpile supplies up to 150% if you don't move out of the entrenchment. Unless you get attacked in some way.
3) This is kinda long winded. In the manual read all of 8.6. (there will not be a test)
