Hello all. I've recently purchased NI. Even as a Paradox grand strat enthusiast, this game is melting my brain...in a good way [:)]

Anyway, my only problem is that I have no in-game music or effects, despite the checkboxes being ticked in Options. The intro plays fine and clear, just no sound in the actual game itself. Sound is fine in all my other games too.

I'm running a laptop with latest Realtek audio driver installed.

Please make sure that you have a subfolder named Sound in the game main installation folder.

Yes, it's there. The files within play normally if opened with media player. Still not hearing them in-game though. Thanks for replying.

Hi, got the same problem since day one.
I have also the latest realtek audio driver installed (6.0.1.7629), maybe something here. Do you have Nahimic sofware installed?

Do you have windows media player installed?

Nope, I have uninstalled it! After re installing it I have the sounds and music, thank you [:)]
