Garbled messages

Hello,
Using version 2.2 I started a new scenerio 17 as allies, currently October '42. Many of the various combat messages used in teh combat display screens contain errors. Some examples off the top of my head:
"L" just before bombing.
"belt&" when a torpedo hits
There are more, and I can post better examples if you need them.
