Yes indeed. Domino explosions can be all kinds of fun. Did your titan and/or jock survive the 4?

4 assaults? But they blow up for like 1000000000 points of damage! I bet even mountains would get blasted out of their hex after that
I tried blowing up a disabled titan on purpose once. It worked but took forever and didn't excatly knock down all the titans around. It was fun though
Well Rahl were there any survivors? Quite an achievment surviving THAT!

I'm pretty sure the chance of knocking a titan out of the square is based on both damage and the jock's piloting skill. Am I right, Larkin or Iceman?

Here's what the guide.doc file has to say:
"If a Titan takes 60 or more points of damage from the Engine explosion of another Titan and fails a skill check, it can be pushed out of its hex."
Do i guess you're right.
-------------
Just noticed that it says "can" be pushed out, not "will". Does this mean there is another check to see if the titan gets pushed out? Just curious.

actually i had 1 survive in all their was 5 titans on 1 hex 4 of mine and 1 of the 2 remaining titans, i used 1 of my close range titans to disable his, resulting with a explosion blowing all 4 of mine out, 1 of my titans had shut down due to a fire on the hex, that 1 blew up blowing the others out and so on and so on till my last 1 finnaly landed and didnt blow up but had so much damage it couldnt move or anything so i had no choice but to eject from my worthless titan

Unless you're playing Hetzer. Then it's over when the NB sings.

too bad there isn't a self-destruct device so you can just get over with it ya know?

Well, now that you mention it
In Warring Suns one option is now going to be "self destruct" (beams proudly).
It will be usable in Experience Team games only <dark, gleeful laughter> It's function will be twofold: The first is to keep people from stacking 4-5 Assaults in one hex. The second is to add that little bit of spice. "well now, I'm losing, but he's got this nice clump of titans just standing there, hmm.................. There is of course the problem that if your jock doesn't make his skill checks he'll be going for one heck of a ride, but just because you have 40-50 games invested in him is no reason for you to have second thoughts.
Larkin, I've been out of the loop for a while so correct me if I'm wrong. I belive that the last time I was involved in a discussion of this you had to be at least Veteran for self destruct to be an option

really? *starts scheming for suicide titans*

If you do have to be at least veteran, that would be good. Otherwise, people will just build expendable titan-bombs. Self-destruct should be a last-resort option only.

You do need at last 60 survival and 60 D.C.S. skill which is most unlikely for beginners. Dev points for higher skills/attributes are also much more expensive. There is also a skill check needed to succeed priming the explosion. So its more of a gimmick.

A gimmick that could be really useful, occasionally, though. Once in a while, it might mean the difference between winning and losing in a team game.
