Designing Infantry Units

It's clearly possible to create tank models which can be improved through research to get better in combating tanks and infantry, etc. What about infantry? Could there be an infantry unit designer in which infantry units can be upgraded with better Anti Tank ability or better Anti Personnel ability? Maybe start out with a basic Rifle Platoon or something and then upgrade or improve its anti-tank weapons, etc?

I'm sort of batting around he idea of creating a random generated scenario which will work with modern warfare and weapons systems.

Also, is there a tutorial thread somewhere on how to modify and or create new models in the tank designer? I went back several pages but couldn't find it. I swore there was one.

Thanks.

I believe the answer is yes. But, it is complicated to do. I think the link you are looking for is this:

ernieschwitz pointed me to this in response to my troubles including tank models in my mod. Which I haven't had time to try and fix yet. Basically, you have to write the events yourself. I don't think that there is an intrinsic barrier to making models for any unit, fighters, bombers, etc. There are a series of events that have to be made to do it. You need to study the tank models, and try. Since no one seems to have done it, I suspect it is hard, and it might even be not possible.
