New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
It has been confirmed that Iran has been feeding arms into the Yemen civil war. CTF50/51 as well as several attack wings stationed throughout the region will discover to what degree as they position units into the Strait of Mandeb to protect this vital shipping channel.

Played it. Very good ground-attack scenario. I got an "average" because I was a little too reckless with my firepower, and the Burke got a few big holes in it (still floated fine), but still hit all the targets.
RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
I like it, keep it mind that i played the mission with the intent of breaking it, essentially so some of the things you read about me doing might seem unorthodox.
1. You seem to have way too much resources for the resistance you face, i cleared it all out with the super cobras alone. Low as possible gunship attack to knock out their SAM's and artillery. I also used the ships SAM in anti-surface mode to knock out the iranian ship and 2x F-15E and 1x F-22 with SBD to knock out the caves.
2. How come some civilian houses are armed? After the initial collateral damage run i got fired at from the civilian houses which in return caused more collateral damage as i returned fire. Trying to simulate rebels using civilans as human shields?
3. You should change the mission name to Breaking Bad, 2015 (as that is the standard format for mission files and names).
4. You might wanna create an .ini file to safeguard the missions custom weapon mounts on various ground facilities.
Edit:
Re-played the mission, edited the text above to reflect it. I like it, good premise and interesting units.

Thanks for playing. Curious on your score.ORIGINAL: Skjold

Shocked the 3 A/C only with SDB's knocked out the cave entrance, tunnel and cave itself. My intentions were to have either of the bombers from Diego Garcia to knockout the cave as it was an underground unit.I'll run a test to make sure that the SDB's should even be capable to knockout an underground bunker. I was considering putting some Iranian AF units in their too just to give it a bit more depth.

War is hell, isn't it? I was hoping someone would try to avoid the "hostile neutrals" and still accomplish the objective. At least it made you think, although after the fact.

Ok. Thanks.

Good idea.

A few tomahawks didn't do their manouvering thing and rammed into the houses. Not entirly sure they are supposed to be able to navigate an urban-ish setting to be honest. I got 6 civilian kills due to that and a few damaged houses, so i think the score was 47 (average)? if my memory serves me right.
Other then that, i had no losses of any kind and destroyed every unit i could find (fairly sure all of them).
Also the Strike Eagles used "Deep Throats" and F-22 used SBD.

Use Ammo bunkers (underground or mountain), and underground a/c shelters as the mountain facilities to make them more durable.
SDBs are designed to break through armored shelters, though.

RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
As for the scoring, 47 sounds low if you hit 6 civilians (-30 points) and a few damaged houses (-10 points), destroying all three portions of the bunker (+60 points), hit a few terrorist positions (+15 points), sink the Iranian frigate (+10 points), all 6 CH-53's on-station (+30 points) which would have been 75 points, average. 47 would have been a disaster. But if your score was in-fact "average" I think that I may have accomplished a good level of difficulty, regardless if the Blue Side has its usual over-kill of hardware. I just wanted to see how players chose to attack the Red Side with all the neutrals within the scenario.ORIGINAL: Skjold

RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
I did test the F-15E with a GBU-28 and a single bomb destroyed the target (#177 Bunker) so that seems to be okay. I didn't test the SDB on the bunker. I was primarily using the SDB for attacks on targets within town. The Ammo Bunker with its 3200 DP value I thought was a bit too much for what I was simulating as a cave. A GBU-28 dropping on just about anything I believe would ruin any cave dwellers day regardless of its integrity.ORIGINAL: Coiler12

RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
Just completed this scenario. Got a Triumph victory. Few civvies killed and some buildings lightly damaged.
Really liked being given lots of options regarding hardware, and then being limited with their employment by the civilians and housing around targets.
Really enjoyed playing this one. Thanks a lot for making it.
Edit - If I could just make one criticism it's that the enemy air didn't really pose a challenge. It hindered by strike/recon missions near the beginning a bit, increasing tension as I needed to find and take out the arty/SSM before my ships got in range. That increased the 'fun' but then after the initial wave or two which were easily countered, there was no more serious air threat. The Phantoms came in, but at this point the ground based AAA and SAM's were no longer a threat so I had complete air control and my ship based SAM's were more than capable of handling them. Really, I'm just a little bummed out my Raptors didn't see any action! Again, super fun scenario.

RE: New Scenario For testing:Breaking Bad (2015)
Thank you much for the critique. I had intended this scenario not to be a hot and heavy slug fest but more to resemble the smaller news worthy battles we've seen over the last few decades (Mogadishu, Fallujah, etc.) where finesse would be more important than brute strength. Anything above a MANPAD I feel would not have been realistic so I had to make the story-line fit and the best way I could figure to do so was make Iran fight a proxy war by supplying arms to Yemen. Putting Russia in the scenario with MiG-25's and other supersonic interceptors would have been more of a challenge but I didn't want to make the scenario too un-politically unrealistic.ORIGINAL: Lukeb

I'm glad it gave you a bit of a challenge.
