My turn for laptop resolution problems

Having issues with my HP laptop and getting the game to change resolution.
Running Win10 on the laptop with a default resolution of 1366x768.
Game is current beta 1.7.11.25.4
Have the following command line switches: -deepColor -altFont -px1366 -py768
No matter what resolution switches I use the game runs in it's default 1024x768 so I get a square box game in the middle of a rectangular screen.
Tried taking a screenshot to illustrate but when I pasted it into paint all I got was the 1024x768 res central square.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Hans, do you apply switches on the correct beta "War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" in "Beta2" folder and not on standard *.exe in main folder or autorun.exe?

Very good question. The first time through I applied them to my original custom shortcut instead of the one created by the beta install.
Recognizing that problem was easy as the game reported it was still the older version.
Instead of redirecting the shortcut to the beta2 folder I moved the contents of the beta2 folder to the main game folder.
The game is a second copied folder running a heavily modded version for the game (Focus Pacific scenario with extended map and stacking limits)so I still have the original unmodded game folder for stock scenarios.
It is definitely launching the beta version as it reports game version as 1.7.11.25.4 and the switches are all applied to that executable shortcut line.

Hans - the "
autorun.exe" issue is the real snake in the grass. You get no errors, the game runs, it just silently ignores most (or maybe all) of the switches. Regardless of whether you are pointing to a Beta or official release or in the main folder or the Beta sub-folder, first make sure that your command line is calling "
War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" like mikkey said (and NOT "
autorun.exe").

It is. I chose the correct executable file when I pathed the shortcut.
It just seems to be ignoring the resolution switches.
The -altFont switch is working properly and I assume the -deepColor switch is working properly as I have no scrolling sluggishness as I did before implementing that switch.
It's just the resolution switches that seem to be ignored.
Am I implementing them improperly?

UPDATE:
Problem fixed.
Stupid user error discovered.
command line switch had been typed in as -px366 instead of -px1366!
As usual error attributed to DAO.
Old computer guru who taught me computer building in the early nineties use that acronym religiously.
Dumb A__ Operator!!! [:D]

I have no idea what those pilots did in the privacy of their cockpit. [8D]
