How deep, how far, the German aggressors can invade Russia?

depends on your ability and skill, Moscow is the farthest iv'e got, but as of yet i've not managed to take it, surround and attack it, yes, but control it, nope, then again i'm not the greatest gamer in the world, or supply expert either and had to strip boarder protection to get this far, so didn't last long and ended up losing badly in the process, as the AI isn't daft where you leave either gaps, or a thin line, it knows weakness and will exploit it.

For whatever it's worth, the map goes all the way to the Urals. But I can't imagine the Germans getting that far.

Is it, theoretically, possible to occupy total Russia?

I would like to know the best anyone has done to date in achieving any of Leningrad, Moscow and Rostov. Or any combination of all three. Even momentarily.

The furthest I got was to capturing Leningrad, Moscow and Gorki. If you capture Gorki it's an automatic victory. Since the beta versions were evolving so fast I had to drop that game and start a new one with the newest release.
Here are some pics of how far I got. I finished the game in early October 1941 before the Rasputitsa and the snow fell.
I think I could have taken Rostov if continuing playing.
I also have to say to Vic very much improved the AI since this game was played
