When does the Russian winter?

Is the date of the winter disaster fix (what I would find very sad), or do the start vary (as I would wish it to me)?

it all depends on your start up settings and what you selected and the difficulty etc, so not a given time and date as per say [;)]

Hi Templer,

The weather system is pretty detailed.

Every time you play the game you'll get a different set of randomised weather although it will vary within the bounds of actual Soviet meteorological data. This can result, at times in very different weather patterns.

In general though you can expect severe winter conditions from mid December through to mid January.

At the end of the game, or if you surrender, you'll get a PDF analysis of your efforts and this includes a breakdown of the weather you've experienced and it's benchmarked against the expected 'norm'.

so you can choose a milder one while your learning for a easy play to start off with, imo it makes it better while you learn, as you may still get you bum kicked on this level of play as well if you're not very careful [&o][&o][&o]

yes the AI is this good, or maybe i'm more useless than i thought[8|][:D][;)]

I'm less interessted in different pattern (it' s great to have them), to me it's about when do the winter starts.
It's no fun, and there is absolutely no challenge when winter begins in every game at the exact same day and you can prepare yourself for this day.

Winter varies, as mentioned, within the realms of actual historical data.

Sometimes early, sometimes late.

so for me Templer, you may wish to play with the historical data on it's the first top button on my picture and milder weather off and see how you go with that, means weather will be more of a issue and a lot harder for the German side as you not bothered either about playing the soviets[;)]
