I am getting this error when I click the update from the game menu?
"Failed to load data file - possible client/data version mismatch.

How can I fix this please?

I'm getting a similar error with with trying to update Panzer Corps.

Update the game manually instead of using the update feature:

P&S Campaigns:

Thanks. I already have latest version anyway. Will the data base mismatch error go away or do I have to keep checking for updates via the forum?

The issue is not in our side.
Check if any of your Internet security programs (like firewall, anti-virus, etc.) is not interfering with the update feature.

That may be true. I downloaded the update and installed it myself (Panzer Corp)

I have now checked by turning off firewall and virus checker. No change.
I can update Commander Great War and the original Pike and Shot without this warning notice and any other issue via the Game menu with or without virus checker/firewall.
If, as you say, there is no issue on your side, could I have a corrupt data file from the last update of downloader file? Is there a way I can delete this and download another without reinstalling??
