German umlaut in editor

Hi all,
I'm having trouble typing German characters in the editor (ü, ö etc). I also tried exporting the OOB, editing it and then importing it, but that replaced all the umlauts with questionmarks. Is there a way to do it?

Yes, you can do it. Type 'Alt 129' for the umlaut, how are you doing it ?

I'll try that, thanks. I used the conventional mirosoft combo:
ALT+0223 = ß
ALT+0228 = ä
ALT+0246 = ö
ALT+0252 = ü
ALT+0196 = Ä
ALT+0214 = Ö
ALT+0220 = Ü
But they don't work, unless I'm missing something.
Edit: OK, I tried Alt+129 and it produced a questionmark again.
Alt+0129 produces a graphical glitch:

Well, looks like we are doing the same thing but with different results. Are you using 3.4.1.9 ? That's what I am using. Don't know if that makes a difference.

Mine might be too small to see, but I've got Jäger and Küsten there. And I changed my scheme to the old green COW, but that won't make any difference to the characters.

Some Windows Fonts don't display the Umlaute or special charactersw; Times New Roman however does.

I'm using 3.4.1.9 also. I suspect it has something to do with my windoes language settings.
edit: I just saw Oberst's post. If I understand it correctly, this is a known issue to be fixed in TOAW IV.

*Sigh*
Changed to windows fonts and it worked in the editor, but not when I load my new scenario. Older scenarios use them normally. It seems we have to wait for TOAW IV for this issue to be fixed.
