Taskbar overlapping Win 7

Rez is 1920 X 1080 using a Radeon Video(7777 series I believe), my Taskbar overlapped my game screen and I couldn't find any way in the manual or any way to rid myself of it. I went into the Hide taskbar and this sorta solves things but not quite as the taskbar would have to be made to disappear in order to work properly for when I sink down often the taskbar overlaps again. It won't disappear in other words. Any Suggestions? Thanks

Support will ask if you have latest drivers for your vidcard. OS?

Strange issue. My Windows 10 (free upgrade) desktop machine runs in the same resolution. I don't have this issue but I'm using an Nvida card. You might try uninstall/reinstall or running game in compatibility mode.

Hi battle,

Are you running any special software that might keep the taskbar active? like stardocks start menu app? or something that updates information on the taskbar all the time?

Best wishes,
Vic

I am fairly PC literate but not "that great." I went through the compatibility settings and altered them for the game and that did nothing. So far... The items I have tried like DPI scaling or compatibility mode. I attempted to alter the notifications from the taskbar links and disabled them all to see if there was an offending program. One thing changed when I disabled every icon's notifications in the taskbar I was able to scroll the game without the taskbar when it was set to auto-hide. So auto-hide is a quickfix if selected every time but nothing else I can figure has so far changed anything. The DPI scaling or the unique qualities of the Radeon Video may be at fault here.

I am sure something will be found to get around this but it's quite nice to be able to at least with an auto hide taskbar to enjoy the game inside the game without having it pop up when I scroll South every time. That was quite annoying. I appreciate all your help and this issue is hardly anything that upsets me I have worked in PCs for 27 years and I like where I am at now. Thank you for your time and help...
