Takes some initial editing to accomplish, but I prefer doing any of the Axis minors, much more challenging!!:D
Yes...I agree...

Try the Poles or Dutch for the allied side, or the Hungarians or Romanians in Russia if you want a real challenge!

Has anyone played a long campaign as the Japanese or the Brits? Just curious. I tend to take the usual suspects--the Germans or the USMC. The Brits would be interesting, but the Japanese would really be a challenge--when would you start? 1941? 1931? Somewhere in between?

I agree with you, Chief, and having played as the Americans in the Pacific, I just can't identify with the Japanese Army in a long campaign. I can't identify with the Brits, either, as my heritage is Irish. Surely someone out there has played a long campaign as the Japs or the British Empire?

Well so far I'm thinking of playing the Brits (as a Brit but also because they seem to be quite a difficult force to master - as I'm learning in pbem) - and always like a challenge. However, I've found the desert vs Germans to be very difficult indeed in pbem... I also thought of playing as the Japs too...
It seems that as Germans or USA halfway through the campaign you're so tough and experienced that you begin to stockpile points (which kind of defeats the object)
Then again maybe this is just a feature of the long and ww2 campaigns and specific campaigns are a better deal...
