The pic shows my current research for hyperdrives. The Instant jump and Jump energy were acquired through retiring found ships. Advanced Hyperdrives I've researched afterwards intending to use the Torrent Drives on my ships.

Going into ship design there is no Torrent Drive???

I've found out why, it's not been marked as obsolete and hence hidden via the ticky box 'Only show Latest Components'. No way on earth (sorry space) that the torrent drive is not better than the other types, which are all being shown. See the pic in the next post.

I suspect it classifies it as obsolete because there's something further to the right in the tech tree that's available instead.

That's the reason alright, but its further right than one of the other drives. Small thing but it needs fixing.
