I can't install this game

Hi,
I've just buy this game on Matrixgames and correctly downloaded the file : DistantWorldsUniverse-SetupRelease-v19512.exe
When i try to launch this application, it does nothing... I just wait, and... Nothing...
It's quite frustrating, what can i do please ?
I have Windows 8.1

That is an odd way to fail. What is the size of the file, a bit over 1GB? That is the area it is supposed to be in.

Yes, a bit over 1GB.
Other exe files work fine in my PC.
Another thing : i've just tried to add my key (XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) in "Activating a Product" on Steam, it says me it's not valid -_-"
Do you know why ?

Nevermind, the true key steam works now (i've tried with a wrong). I'll try to install and play via Steam, so...

That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is interfering with the game installation.
The easiest way is to workaround this issue is to boot your Windows in safe mode and install the game.

Thanks, but it works with Steam anyways ^^
