I have noticed that when played through Winamp, the
ingame mod music sounds way better. Why's that?

v1.4 did use the free seal sound library which might be inferior to the winamp sound driver.

I was going to post this today and it looks like someone beat me to it ;) I hope you can answer these questions.

How can i choose the sound setup of ToS 1.4.0
It automatically sets 8-bit, DirectX device. The sound quality is much worse than when i play the wavs separately,or if i play the song in a MOD player.

Also what ARE the properities of that MOD file that's included in the game? It has a .mod extension but it's actually an .xm file with more channels than are allowed in a .mod format. When i try to change the song with another .xm or .it or .s3m file the game cannot initialize any sound. So can i please have some info on that tune2.mod file it's really confusing.

And finally, is WS going to support custom made wav or mp3 or mod files? It's great when you can change the soundtrack for your fav. game, they should all support that! mp3 support would be great cos wav files are too big no matter how much space you have on yer HDD.

WS does support mp3. It has 11 mp3 themes, which you can change for your own themes by renaming them. But they are very cool themes.

That's really cool. Even if music is great it's even better when you can change it at will. Cool!
