Why is board being censored?

Several times in the last few days I have posted responses to various threads, only to find that they don't show up. These weren't flames or inappropriate comments, just ordinary thoughts and respnses.
Why is this board being censored, and what are the ground rules?

Nodoby has censored any threads - most likely a glitch in getting it posted. I always copy a post, check the board and make sure it shows up, sometimes it doesn't even for me and I just repost. Occasionally this results in duplicate posts. It seems to be dependant on internet traffic in my local cable area.

Hit tab a few times and poof yer post is history before being sent (I think).
I have had a few messages in my past go poof, but I knew they had gone poof. And disgruntled I also refused to retype them hehe:) .
I had done the editing thing myself before (hey if I change my mind about a post I can do everything right up to deleting the entire post of course).
My only encounter with "censoring" has been when a subject or comment has gotten out of hand. This usually means discreet communiques from staff about it (which is the intelligent way to do it).
I have yet though, to ever witness being straight jacketed by Matrix in more than 2 years now.

One day the world will end, and all the sign will say is "nothing really wrong - technical glitch".

You don't know how close to the truth you really are.

The Russians came very close to doing just that.

At least twice that I know of from watching PBS. Once during the old Soviet Union when they launched a new satellite that was to watch for incoming ICBMs. Well there was a glitch in the system and the satellite reported incoming ICBMs that turned out to be Sun shining off the tops of clouds. Its reported they came very close to launching but for the patience of the watch commander who thought it more prudent to wait a few more minutes because the 'ICBMs' kept dissappearing and reappearing.
The second time was under Yeltsin. The Norwegians launched a satellite which the Russians thought was an ICBM heading for Moscow. IIRC they came within thirty seconds of launching when confirmation came in that it was just a satellite launch.
Scary stuff for sure.

>>In January 1995, a Norwegian space crew was cleared to launch an observation satellite into orbit from a U.S. submarine off the coast of Norway. Unfortunately, no one told the Russians they would be seeing a rocket fly over their airspace.

>Russia’s rejection of Start II has freed them to develop a new class of intercontinental missile, the Topol-M, with capabilities that surpass any current American nuke. The Americans are now free to pursue their dreams of a Star Wars missile shield, and the corresponding offensive capabilities that come with it.
what the f*** ??
i thought the nuclear race was over.
seems not so.
why can´t humanity not grow mature
and not playing childish war games ??
(edit: i don´t mean pc or board games of course

)

Actually it was you Germans who first dreamed up the idea of launching a rocket from a u-boat during WW2. Idea was to hit New York City, etc.

Topol-M? where the heck are they getting the money?
Maybe we should remove the MacDonalds locations from Russia. That way they would have to divert money from Topol-M to pay their men in uniform.
