With the Christmas holiday started/about to start, three things:

a) Happy Christmas to my fellow forumites and gamers

b) Is anyone expecting to be getting anything interesting in the games/books/DVD department of a military nature?

c) What have been the best purchases in any of those categories this year?

Best Matrix purchase this year was Order of Battle: Pacific. Otherwise, Endless Legends.

But my real gift this year was being healed of spinal stenosis. Difficult to enjoy games with that.

Merry Christmas!

b) Sadly no. Expected loot is socks, boxers, Captain Morgan Spiced x2, the new Adele CD.
c) A book about Hitlers muslim warriors. Interesting read about something I've not read much about earlier.

Wow!! that's good news. I know I suffer from it(not severe) but broke a vertebrae in the same area in a fall 2yrs, 3months ago. Still hoping for and fighting for an operation through workers comp.

Have to ask, though how were you cured? I didn't know that was possible! Was it severe? And did you need an operation?

Being you asked, Zap:

Had it for almost six months and could not function well. Two epidurals and still paying the bills. But keep fighting and get your operation. It is not curable. I was healed in two days by the Lord Jesus Christ. He needed to get my attention on a few things first [:)]

Ditto. Happy Christmas all!
b) Is anyone expecting to be quote getting anything interesting in the games/books/DVD department of a military nature?

No.
c) What have been the best purchases in any of those categories this year?

Probably DC: Barbarossa, I think. Panzer Battles: Kursk is exceptional, too; easily Tiller's best format to date. Might well treat myself to the new Normandy game at some point over the festive period.
