I was fixing something in the scenario I am making for, well, all of you. It was bugging me, to no end, worked on it for about 1½ days, some 8 hours or so, I would recon. Well... Nothing beats the feeling when you best the coding beast, and get something to work just as intended!

So, with that in mind I just wanted to say, that that really is
the best feeling.

I agree!
Coding in AT is like coding in other languages. You need to know the syntax and what you can do with functions and subroutines. When you finally figure out how to do something, it feels good. I used to do this all the time at work, and less so now, but there is a lot of satisfaction when you write up a code and it does what you want. There is nothing but frustration when you do everything right and in the end, the compiler or the system doesn't let it happen. The worst for me was doing everything correct to use parallel MPI/IO to read/write data from some 1000+ processors, only to find that the mode that would help me the most was slow and there was no way to do what I wanted. In the end, we wound up storing it locally.

I've coded for 36 years and I couldn't agree more!
