Looking for a game.

Any level is fine
I don't mind being defeated as long as I learn
Thanks Joe

I'd like to play Rommel attacks again. Since I was crushed by whoofe in the tournament (that should encourage you!) I'm fresh out of opponents at the moment.
Either side, so if you'd like to set it up, then pm me with a password I'd be happy to play. I'm happy at any pace of playing.
If you like after that, since Rommel Attacks is quite short, I'll take Germans in Husky.. More for you to learn as Allies running an invasion.
Dave

Don't feel bad, I was demoralized by Seminole
There are 2 Rommel Attacks - one for each side - you choose
Also Husky is up there

Accepted all 3 and played my first German turn in Rommel attacks. We can do all three at once or do them in sequence if you prefer.

Something is wrong with the games - Not sure how but it has us playing the same side for all games - I am pretty sure I did not set them up that way. I noticed when I started that the text was messed up and It had us both as allies. Then when I ended my turn as allies in Rommel Attacks it allowed me to play axis. Sorry if I set them up wrong, but I don't think we can play these. pretty disappointing because I just spent an hour or so setting playing the scenario

Ah, that's what's wrong. I thought it was just a graphics glitch. I'll try setting them up and see what happens.

In Husky, looking at the VP, I lost significant VP in downed aircraft. I did go after the beaches and interdiction hard, and there was one turn where I lost something like 170 planes (can't remember exactly but heavy flak losses). My strategy was to hit the beach ports and interdiction hard in an effort to keep your unit CVs down and mount a reasonable ground defense. No counterattacks as my experience has been that for the Germans all that does is deplete the German mechanized units. The Abn drop next to Messina caught me by surprise, but I was still able to put enough defensive CV into Messina to hang on to it (or move back in after being pushed out once I believe).
So I lost 358 points in downed aircraft. That swung the VP to your side, although it could also be that using my air force that way and accepting those losses was what allowed me to defend on the ground and keep Messina.
Good game. Husky is a challenge from both sides, which is nice.
