What is the bonus for this? The manual doesn't make it clear.

The manual isn't clear on the exact bonus, but is an activation one for the entire front... Perhaps you can run one turn to find out what it actually does...

Hi,
If Zhukov is present at the Front HQ it's +20.
If he plays the Take Command it's +100.
I haven't looked at this for quite a while and I'd say that it's overpowered and due for a tweak.
[edit] Investigated and I'm happy to leave it as is. It's a one turn only effect, with a slowly escalating cost, and can't be played early on while the Luftwaffe are disrupting. [/edit]
Cheers,
Cameron

It's essentially a free activation turn at that level. The only thing that can impede it is a paranoid episode leading to army commanders getting shot, and even then the army will probably still get a partial activation.
So, yeah, pretty hilarious and probably over the top. The activation cost does go up by 1 each time, but I'd still make multiple uses of this. Cheap at any price below 10 PPs in the early game, particularly in the south where you have lots of armies. That's 6 bites at that apple by my reckoning. You won't need to use it even that often.

Hi Faviusx,
If you do as you suggest then you won't be able to do anything else PP wise nor will you be able to use Zhukov for any other purpose.
It'd be five turns of Stalin throwing everything he has at pulling back his regulars on the Southern front.
Could work but it'd be at the expense of letting everything else go to the dogs.
Cheers,
