Soviet supply

How much supply gets to Baltic ports for cut off Soviet units? A port such as Windau can receive how much supply?

With the air abstract I am unable to target the port. I assigned 18th army with artillery and air support. How much of an effect will this have on breaking this last pocket?

I have run into this situation twice now (against AI) where a large body of Soviet forces holds 3 or more squares including the port Windau. I cannot break them and take severe casualties trying. They are even able to launch counter attacks that drives me back some. I would bring over some panzers (a waste) except the forest squares. Last attack Soviets suffered 3 casualties while the Germans lost about 20.

If we had corps, I would select one to go on defensive and just leave them there. I cannot get the entire 18th army involved and with command range I cannot push to far with the rest of the 18th army. I have almost an entire army out action.

Will someone please answer the question of supply for a cut off Soviet Leningrad.

Yeah, I've experienced this as a problem as well when I cut-off the BMD and its army from Lenningrad and they hole up in Windau. The manual indicates that units in a port get full supply. Seems to me the intention of that rule is good, but supplying 4 or 5 divisions plus a minor garrison in a minor port is a bit much and extremely hard to dislodge. Theater arty has no effect on unit entrenchment, so no help there. I've resorted to bringing in the siege arty, but good luck if it's also needed for Odessa.

Well, Odessa I understand. I thought the German navy had the Baltic locked down to Soviet shipping. Siege is very time consuming.

It appears we need a card to cut off a port by pulling in the Luftwaffe and mining the port.

There has to be a supply limit. Can 3 divisions be supplied or is it 6 or is it unlimited? This is too abstract we need more options here.

Another funny item is that Riga is open for me and accepting supplies. Windau is open and accepting Soviet supplies. I wonder when the ships cross each others path if they shoot or salute?

Hi,

It's something we'll take a look at, especially for the minor port cities.

It's probably reasonable that the Soviets would evacuate these as they weren't sustainable.

Cheers,
