When preparing an attack, (typing "A" on an enemy unit) the sum of units strengths in the bottom panel is not exactly the sum of the strengths of the engaged units. There's always a small difference. For both sides.

For example I'm attacking a stack of 2 units (47 and 13) and the bottom panel says :
Stack x/200 vs 63. But 47+13 = 60, not 63.
Same for the attacking side...

Does it take in account some bonuses ?
How is the "63" figure calculated ?

Pretty sure its because it's Stacking Points, not Strength Points that are shown at bottom.

I get strength and stacking points confused? I'm not even sure where to find strength points?

At least in DC2 artillery type units counted as two stack points in combat, I haven't really checked in DC3 but I would assume its the same.

Correct. Artillery counts for 2 stack points. So there is a slight discrepancy between power points (on counter) and stack points.
