Weather Oddity

It seems quite odd that after suffering heavy rain and mud conditions right across the map in July that the very next turn I now suffer hot and dusty conditions with the associated penalties.

I doubt even the hottest weather would turn mud to dust in 4 days.

Perhaps a block on dust occurring on turns immediately following mud might be an idea [&:]

Hi Michael,

Believe it or not this could well be the case.

Nikdav dug up (in the thread on online reference material) an analysis of the weather by a German climatologist.

The evaporation rate in July is extremely high. Heavy rain (short duration) can turn the roads to mush but, with the onset of heat, they can dry out very quickly. Given a couple of turns in succession where you've got anything up to 5 or 6 days between meteorological events it may be possible.

But I'm guessing. Never been there.

Lake Eyre can dry out pretty quick.

Cheers,
Cameron

This happened the very next turn though. So turn X heavy rain and mud (entire map brown), turn x+1 hot and dusty. So from a quagmire to near desert conditions in 4 days. I am not convinced. Sure 8 days I can stomach, just. Not 4. But hey this is with 1.01. I think you guys have toned down the rain in 1.02 IIRC so maybe this will be less of a problem.
