See how well you do on this Quiz About WWII?

Some questions do deal with the Pacific Theatre.

I got 23 out of 30.

19 out of the first 20. Then it got more specialized. Candy bars and name of the third nuker. Missed Tokyo as the eventual third target, too. That was
stupid. Ended with 26.

One odd question from above (after the misspelling "Scappaflow":

Battle of Leyte Gulf was part of this larger battle:
- Okinawa
- Iwo Jima
- Midway
- Guadalcanal - was Correct, but hardly the case. [:-]

I was also bitching about that question... the closest, at least chronologically would by Iwo Jima, which is what I chose
Guadalcanal was long finished by early 1943

the correct answer would be the Invasion of the Philippines

I know it's generally accepted to be 1939 with the invasion of Poland, but we all know WW2 really started in 1937 with the Marco Polo Bridge incident. [8D]

I took that quiz before you posted. One of the questions was how many countries were involved in WWII. Their answer was 30. I came up with 37, but have realized that one of those was not accurate, namely Macedonia. I put a comment on the site to that effect. Here's my list (before correction):

Principal Contenders (8)
Germany, Soviet Union, Britain, France, Italy, Japan, China and the US
Independent Countries at the start either combatant and/or occupied during the war (29)
Czechoslovakia, Poland, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Yugoslavia, Albania, Macedonia, Finland, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Iraq, Iran, Mongolia and South Africa
Total: 37
It could be argued that Ethiopia was already occupied before the war began, but that I would say was a precursor to the war and Ethiopia is still referred to at the oldest independent country in Africa.

You left out Brazil, not at the start, but they did supply a combat division that fought in Italy. You might also include Mexico who declared war late, but did supply at least an air unit (fighter I believe), although I don't believe they saw action.
