Impressed

Overall it is surprising that I am even posting let alone pondering any more war games.

But 2015 taught me to be careful what I ask for.

My rather massive collection of rather outstanding war games goes mostly unplayed because life is change. And it often refuses to change in a way we desire.

Blah blah blah. I once owned a beautiful largely 1st and 2nd edition ASL collection that wanted for nothing but the last module. But I got tired of listening to myself lie to myself about getting around to playing it. Even the best games can suck solo. So I sold it for what seemed like a rip off of a price. But I sold it to a buddy from my youth who was visiting from Texas. No shipping hassle and strangers sealed the deal.

To see a game looking to be a fairly close approximation to ASL is frankly surprising.
It might even cure me of my obsession with desiring a Steel Panthers reinvention.

I've always preferred squad tactical over higher echelon settings. No messy political angles for an AI to fail at. No wonky ahistorical craziness to deal with.

I'd like to see this one enter the market.
Of course you men will immediately be unhappy with everything and I predict a 3 year span of griping and complaining :) I think you guys consider it some weird form of sport.

But it's basically what I would like to see arrive. The graphics are nice, no counters always falling over and the best part in my opinion, I won't need a storage system to keep all the counters :) When I dumped all of those many parts trays on the local hobby store to give to the table top crowd I made a lot of friends.

I suppose now I might as well hope someone computerifies PanzerBlitz/Panzer Leader for me. It's the only remaining board game war game I'm not trying to get rid of somehow.

Really enjoyed looking at the game play video. It said more in a matter of minutes than browsing the manual might offer in hours.

Have you actively sought out the opinion of the Gamesquad crowd? If you want a thorough nit picking they sure will deliver on that.

Hey I'm single, and I play war games, and I'm also a great housewife. Know of any available men in their 50s you want to throw my way?

you've changed your sig, like it [:D][;)]

Yeah, getting desperate Zak.

I mean, I'm old fashioned, almost anti fem in a lot of ways, I think a woman's place IS in the home. I am NOT a modern woman.

And I play war games :)

Ok I don't mention the war games on dating sites or that my alias is Tank girl thanks to a fondness for tank models.

But what DOES a girl need to do to snag a guy these days? I hate dating. The last time I needed to endure this was the mid 80s.

I even tried to grow a war gamer :) But he prefers WoW/Starcraft/DoDa that sort of thing.

You'll need to explain "tcm" for me.

I got that from a very old stupid movie from my youth.

I'm not known on the internet as tank girl though. It's something I only use when I talk about myself.
