I didn't see it in the quick glimpses of the editor ... are there railway tracks as terrain types (like road)? Thanks.

Not at this time. I am using a pre-released copy so that might change but so far there isn't any train tracks in the editor.

No railway tracks in this release. Might be in a future expansion.

Not an uncommon feature in places like Normandy and western Europe so I'll cross my fingers for a future inclusion, thanks!

That's one of the uses I was thinking would be helpful. Some of the raised railway lines were pains for armour to move through without underpasses or pretty much demolishing a 50 yard wide hole. That could be simulated with the line itself broken with one hex of rough ground, for example. Climbing up the sides of raised railway embankments caused all sorts of issues for British and US tanks in Normandy, exposing themselves to fire, mishap and bogging opportunity. But even just flat railway on level ground will do for a start.
