Reposted this from a Tech Support thread,so maybe someone here can help.
Prior to AndyMac's update, stock scenario 1 had the following dat files
More historical
aei001-01.dat
aei001-02.dat
aei001-03.dat
aei001-04.dat
aei001-05.dat
aei001-06.dat
Less historical
aei001-07.dat
aei001-08.dat
aei001-09.dat
aei001-10.dat
aei001-11.dat
aei001-12.dat
After the AI update I have the additional dat files:
aei001-13.dat
aei001-14.dat
aei001-15.dat
aei001-16.dat
aei001-17.dat
aei001-18.dat
aei001-19.dat
aei001-20.dat
I want a slow, historical game vs Jap AI. Are the new dat files (13-20.dat) unhistorical AI scripts? Which dat files should I delete to avoid unhistorical AI scripts?
Thanks.

I don't know which scripts are what, but I know he was looking to make some scripts that were more toned down and historical. These might be 13-20, though I'm not sure.

Here is AndyMac's original post about AI historical scripts(post number 2)
tm.asp?m=2266051
"To remove variants that include AI exploitation attacks
delete aei00x-007 to aei00x-12 files from scen sub folder.
That will guarantee a game where the AI sticks to a historical expansion plan (if not in timing)
There are 13 AI files 7 are all variants of a bog standard game 6 have the AI going beyond strategically.
Andy
p.s. can you send me a save and I will fix the NZ Port TF isuse "

You can PM Andy Mac - I did recently. I looked up his member name on the board's list and used the PM button.

There should be an aei001.dat file present. that is the default file and the one that will come up the most often.
Pretty sure that in Scen 1 it is most "historical".

I'm now doing his Scenario 33, which supposedly does as you desired. He posted it just before his recently ended hiatus.
My previous game using Scen 1, featured repeatedly 1-2 CV strikes against Midway with no reasonably sized invasion force. Ended up sinking Kaga the 2nd or 3rd time AI tried it.
Here's the link to the thread and the scenario:

Dr.smith, thanks for the link! Somehow this thread slipped under my radar. Andy has given the thread a rather generic name... Anyway, thanks a lot!
