NO WAY TO PLACE UNITS ON MAP

The Manual Page 49:
7.4.10.
Insert a Personnel/AFV unit on the Map
To place a unit on the map, first select the unit on
the OOB control panel then click on “Insert UNIT on
the map” button and simply left click anywhere on the map.

7.4.11.
Delete a Personnel/AFV Unit from the Map
To delete a unit from the map, simply select the
unit on the OOB control panel and then click on
the “Delete UNIT from the map” button.

I think those sections are from the scenario editor and he is asking about placing units at the start of a scenario?

You need to scroll the map to see the units. Use the mouse moving to the end of the top or bottom (left or right works as well) or use the arrow keys.

Oh - I am sorry I read that wrong.

Yes in the first tutorial scenario I could not find the Germans for about 5 minutes - not knowing the map scrolled North - South as well as East - West!

Of Course if I read the manual myself....Say about Page 23...

I am having the same problem. Pershing on the Front scenario for example. When computer player is Americans they get 7 tanks. When I play Americans I get 3 on the map to start. I see the pre game set up phase but I can find the 4 tanks anywhere. Not scrolling on map, not in OOB. I can see highlighted hexes 1 thru 8 where the reinforcements are put, but in pre game phase, even using quick set up button, and in reinforcement phase I can never find the extra units.

This is intentional. The AI units will sometimes get more units than you will get as a human player when playing that side. This is a way to sometimes balance the scenario and make the AI stronger.
